Widely celebrated as one of the world’s leading sculpture parks, Storm King Art Center has welcomed visitors from across the globe for fifty years.  It is located only one hour north of New York City, in the lower Hudson Valley, where its pristine 500-acre landscape of fields, hills, and woodlands provides the setting for a collection of more than 100 carefully sited sculptures created by some of the most acclaimed artists of our time.

Participants will be guided on a walking tour of select areas of the grounds by two of the center’s docents, who are knowledgeable about the art, the outdoor museum’s history, and how landscape architects have influenced the shaping of the grounds.  Prior to arriving at Storm King, a landscape architect will provide participants with background information on the museum and some of the landscape architects who have collaborated on pieces of sculpture and their settings.  Following the presentations, participants will be permitted to tour the site on their own for two hours.  During this time, participants will have the option to take a one hour tour and presentation of Peter Coffin’s “Untitled” (Bees Making Honey) with the museum’s beekeeper.
